The Pakistan government launched a upgraded ballistics missile that is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. Of course the launch was just a test and the missile was shot into the ocean. This happened only a few days after its neighbor and enemy, India, launched there own practice missile. The Pakistan military stated that this is only a intermediate range missile that's an upgrade to there old missile. This new missile will be able to fly well over a thousand miles further than their previous missile. Having this new missile in their military has given them a huge step in advancing there weapons.
Personally hearing this kind of scares me a little. Whether we are at peace with a country right now can always change and hearing that they are developing deadly nuclear missiles that could kill Americans is very worrying. Hopefully these weapons will never need to fired, especially not towards American soil.

I believe that the PC World article did very well in explaining SOPA and PIPA. I don't think that the web site really influenced me one way or the other. It does seem like most of the web sites are reporting that people are for SOPA and PIPA. It seems to me that most of the websites, especially Wikipedia, are for the passing of SOPA and PIPA. The websites are talking more about the people and companies that want the bill passed, so that influences me. The websites like Wikipedia for example are talking about how the Blackout was a success and what is in the road ahead for the bill. It doesn't seem to me that any of the websites are doing a lot to influence us to go against the bills SOPA and PIPA. My opinion didn't change after reading these articles because I am for the passing of SOPA and PIPA, and it seemed to me that the articles were concentrated more on the passing of the bill. The PC World didn't change my opinion much but did help me understand the SOPA and PIPA conflict a little more.

SOPA and PIPA
The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect IP Act (PIPA) are both anti piracy acts. the purpose of the bills are to strengthen the prevention of online piracy. There are already acts like the (DMCA) are in place to to shutdown unauthorized content on the Internet, but the purpose of (SOPA) and (PIPA) are to stop the actual source of the content, which is the site its coming out of. These acts will give the U.S. justice department the power to go after foreign sites and companies with ties to sites that are releasing unauthorized content. Many seats in the legislature are for the acts but some don't want these acts passed. Representative Darell Issa of California is against the passing of these two acts. Issa is proposing a different act, the OPEN act. He says that this act will give the International Trade Commission the responsibility of following out this act, rather than the Justice Department.
My personal opinion on this matter is that these acts should be passed. The knowledge i have on the subject leads me to believe that (SOPA) and (PIPA) will help with the fight against Internet piracy a great amount. Internet piracy can be harmful to companies and people that use Internet services everyday, and I think it needs to be stopped. I believe stopping unauthorized content from getting copied starts from the site its being downloaded or copied from illegally. This is where it needs to be stopped and I think these acts will do that.
